Survival tips
for the rehearsal/recital weekend
-
Be patient, be courteous and try to make
this an enjoyable experience for your child.
- Remember that you will be at the theater for a long time.
Bring healthy snacks to eat, activities to occupy the children
and perhaps a small blanket. It can be quite chilly in the
theater.
-
Come early and expect to stay later than
you anticipated
- No gum chewing - it looks bad on stage.
- No food or drink while in costume - you don't want to
ruin your costume before the show.
- No running or goofing around in the theater - someone
could get hurt and it is very distracting to the dancers.
- Dancers usually receive some sort of small gift after
performing such as flowers, stuffed animals or charms for
their necklace.
- Don't forget to bring a camera to capture those priceless
moments on film.
And last but not least, don't forget to say thank you to
your child's instructor and the studio owner for a job well
done! Most people don't realize the countless hours of preperation
that goes into preparing a dance recital. Please acknowledge
all of their hard work!
Have a
great show and have fun!! |
